Biography
After the demise of his previous doo wop aggregation, the Meadowlarks, Don Julian assembled a new trio, called them the Larks, and cashed in on the Money label in 1965 with a floating soul dance number, "The Jerk." It was a huge R&B and pop hit, but numerous spinoffs, including "Soul Jerk," "Jerk Once More," and "Keep Jerkin'," went nowhere.
